Chrome Extension

Overview

AI Form Filler is a Chrome extension that helps users automatically fill web forms using AI. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data the extension handles and how.

Data Collection

We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers.

All user data is stored locally on your device using Chrome's built-in chrome.storage.local API. This includes:

• API keys for AI providers (entered by you)
• Profile contexts (text you provide, e.g. resume, bio, address)
• Uploaded files (stored as base64 in local storage)
• Learned form answers (to improve future auto-fills)
• Site pattern preferences
• Usage statistics (fill count, last fill date)

Third-Party AI Services

When you trigger a form fill, the extension sends form field labels and your context text to your chosen AI provider (e.g. Groq, OpenAI, Anthropic) to generate form responses. This data is sent directly from your browser to the AI provider's API using your own API key.

We do not proxy, intercept, or log these API calls. Please review the privacy policy of whichever AI provider you choose to use.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, share, or transfer any user data to third parties. The only external communication is between your browser and the AI provider you configure, using your own API credentials.

Permissions

The extension requests the following permissions:

• activeTab — To interact with form fields on the current page when you trigger a fill
• scripting — To inject the content script that scans and fills forms
• storage — To save your settings, profiles, and learned answers locally
• tabs — To read the current tab's URL for profile matching
• Host permissions (all URLs) — Forms can exist on any website, so the content script needs to run on all pages

Data Retention

All data persists in your browser's local storage until you explicitly delete it (via the extension settings or by uninstalling the extension). No data is retained elsewhere.

Children's Privacy

This extension is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
